What The Jorge?A Little Entertainment Junk For Your Trunk

So there really is a story behind the fact that Simon could not find authenticity in American Idol contestant Robbie Carrico’s rock singing style in the first night of performances for the guys.

Simon questioned if Robbie sounded more pop or rock. Ryan claimed he almost looked like Justin Timberlake.He immediately argued that he was all rock.If you took the hair, bandana and edgy, rock look off of Robbie Carrico here is what he would look like: 

I actually like the Justin Timberlake look a lot better. Or maybe I am just trying to use Robbie Carrico as my hope and fufillment that NSync can get back together without Justin Timberlake and use Robbie and a fill-in.

A few years back when Britney Spears was not a big mess and leading a very hot and successful career and going on a major worldwide tour, Robbie opened up for her and even supposedly dated her. How cute of a couple were these beautiful people?

He was in a boy/girl group called Boyz and Girlz United that you can basically in the end write off as another long list of defunct boy and girl bands. I remember seeing the group perform with the “All That” Music and More festival when it rolled into town in 2000. If I looked hard enough into the concert pictures archive I will probably find the pictures of the group performing. The group had one single that didn’t even become very popular, but was a catchy tune called “Messed Around” written by ex-NSync member, JC Chasez. I personally liked it and how cute is Robbie in his pop days?

So maybe Robbie should just give up the rock faced and go back to his old pop ways. After all, American Idol is looking for a singer (I have to use that term lightly after seeing some of the jokes that performed the other night) that will ultimately be based as singing pop music during the competition. And who wouldn’t want to be compared to Justin Timberlake? We need a non-so-famous, non-prick version of Justin Timberlake.

So I think he should either go pop, hope his past pop career is exposed even more making him a fan favorite, or hope his rock style will get him into the top 5 of the competition so he can have a little bit of Chris Daughtry fame, if he’s lucky enough that is.

What do you guys think? After seeing that video I’d vote for him on American Idol. Go Justin..I mean Robbie!
