John McCain Spending $5,583.43 for an “American Idol” Makeup Artist

Here’s a change even Obama might believe in…

McCain recently spent over $5,000 for “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance” makeup artist, Tifanie White to do his makeup.

I’m sure it probably wasn’t just for her makeup ability but hey nothings too good for a possible future president of the United States that is going to protect our financial stabilities.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d do that prehistoric dinosaur’s makeup for over $5,000 grand. But what I want to know is, what in the hell kind of makeup would you put on the man? I know most women who in their lifetime probably don’t even spend that much on makeup.

Yes, I know he’d understand if I skipped out on my mortgage payment to get me a $5,000 makeup job done to run for president of my book club.

“Dancing With The Stars” Lineup

Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas - Kardashian is the star of reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and is probably more famous for doing it with Brandy’s brother Ray-J in a sex tape. Can’t wait to see what roles she will get after DWTS.

Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas - I had no idea who Cloris was until Bob Saget’s Comedy Central Roast, but it turns out Cloris (which must be short for Clitoris) is an Academy Award Winning Actress and a fairly old lady. I personally want to see granny rock it out!

Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke - Olympic sprinter, this will help him with the quick step.

Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer - Lance Bass is known for his ‘NSync boyband fame and more recently coming out of the closest and having a hot boyfriend at one time. Lacy is a new face on the show, she was a finalist on “So You Think You Can Dance” and is the sister of Benji Schwimmer, the Season 1 winner of SYTYCD.

Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff - Rocco is a famous Chef to his celebrities, for his next trick he will eat Karina Smirnoff.

Cody Linley and Julianne Hough - Cody is on the famous show “Hannah Montana” maybe he can get Hanna Montana to give Julianne Hough some singing tips.

Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson - Warren is a football player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Misty May-Treanor and Maksim Chmerkovsky - Volleyball player in the Olympics.

Toni Braxton with Alec Mazo - Female R&B singer.

Ted McGinley and Inna Brayer - Actor

Brooke Burke and Derek Hough - TV personality hottie, let’s hope this doesn’t drive Derek’s girlfriend, Shannon Elizabeth into a jealous tizzy.

Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Sliwinska - Comedian

Susan Lucci is and Tony Dovolani - Best known for being whore bag Erica Kane on “All My Children”

Popular American Idol Reject Signs A Contract

American Idol Fans! Remember Josiah Leming from Hollywood week of this past season’s American Idol 7?

Josiah is probably by far the most popular contestant to not make it through Hollywood Week into the top 25. He’s proof that you don’t have to win American Idol to get a gig.

Simon Cowell has even admitted that Josiah should have made it to the final round. He voted for him to stay, but was turned down by Paula and Randy. Everything was going great for him during Hollywood week up until his last performance where he sang a very unprepared version of “Stand By Me” with no musical accompaniment.

There’s no telling how far Josiah would have went on the show, but that’s all a thing of the past now…

Josiah Leming has signed a publishing and recording deal with Warner Bros. Records. Since his departure from the show his MySpace page has gotten over three million views and his songs have been listened to more than two million times. His music is also available for purchase on his MySpace page.

“Josiah’s talent as a lyricist is one of the main reasons I signed him,” says Warner Bros. Records’ Senior Vice President of A&R Perry Watts-Russell. “All of his emotions go into his songs. He has an extraordinary gift for turning his experiences into art.”

“No matter what I have gone through, I have the same feelings every kid has,” Josiah says. “And I think I can put those feelings in such a way that they connect with people and help them get through their hard times. If my music can give others something they can express their emotions through, that’s the whole point.”

His album is set to be released this fall along with this season’s winner, David Cook and following right behind, runner up David Archuleta.

David Archuleta’s Dad Banned Backstage

So it looks like Monchichi David Archuleta’s Dad, Jeff Archuleta has been banned from American Idol rehearsals for being a nut rider. [News information from LexGo, Kenny Crookston AP Photo]

His “intense backstage involvement” is what got him banned. What really put the AI producers over the edge was the lyric change on last week’s show. David Archuleta’s performance of “Stand By Me” was altered with a line from Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls” which costed AI copyright costs. Nevertheless, AI as popular as the show is and the producer’s are probably bathing in a tub of money as we speak, it was still a shiesty move on good ol’ Daddy’s part.

Either way, father dearest knows his son is a walking billion dollar industry after the AI season is over, he’s just trying to make sure he gets his piece of the pie and hopefully by father’s day he can win the “Father of the Year” title almost as deservingly as Dina Lohan won the “Mother of the Year” title.

Get David Archuleta In Your Pocket

This topic was brought up on forums online and after seeing the pictures I am a believer.

American Idol Fans, David Archuleta has a twin! Meet Monchici!

David Archuleta Monchichi

I kept saying from the beginning of watching American Idol that David was so cute I just wanted to make him into a keychain and carry him around in my purse. Well now I can go out and get my very own Monchichi doll and that will be just as fine.

While we’re on a David Archuleta topic… Has anyone ever noticed he’s not the most eloquent speaker in the world? I’m not expecting him to talk like a public speaker or anything but how is he suppose to get famous and do TV and radio interviews when all he can do is smile, laugh and say,

I don’t know…huhuhuhuhuhuh

David Archuleta is such a great singer, there’s no doubt in my mind that he will be a successful star, but for God’s sake, before all that happens, someone better get him the best PR people in the country or his next gig will be for Ladybug steam cleaners.

American Idol Elimination Recap

It’s Wednesday night on American Idol which means cheesy group performances and shameless plugs and recaps.

Speaking of shameless plugs, I loved the smooth transitioning iTunes plug.

“I wake up every morning, pee in the shower, download American Idol iTunes to my iPod, and have breakfast…”

Ok no one really said that but seriously! Could their Coke and iTunes plug be just a little bit more obvious? You wouldn’t even need GPS to find the cheesy, obvious-ness of the shameless plugs that these poor kids suck at. I guess they work either way because I’m going to go download David Cook’s performances this weekend.

Chickezie was the first contestant selected to be in the bottom three, followed by Syesha.

Kimberly Locke was the featured performer for the night. She still looks amazing. She was one of my favorites in Season 2 when I first started seriously getting involved with American Idol. I did not like the song she sang though. It’s a country remake of the song “Fall” but I guess it was karma coming back to haunt Country music since Country music always takes popular Top 40 songs and twang it up. I hate remakes in general anyways but who’s really judging Kimberly Locke anyways, she’s already got a record deal.

Chickezie was eliminated. This means we must endure another week of Kristy Lee Cook performances. God help us all.

American Idol Reviews: Top 10 “Year You Were Born” Night

On American Idol this week the contestants had to pick a song to perform that was from the year they were born. Some of these contestants you find out are so young, it makes me in my mid-20 something’s look so old. At least we should be able to recognize some of the songs because they should be some-what modern.

Little Ramiele sang Heart’s “Alone” while being sick. She did a great job given the circumstances and I’m so thrilled that she is in the Top 10 because when she doesn’t make it through the competition; I can at least see her on tour when they come to town. The judges didn’t agree with me at all, Randy still didn’t like the song choice. Better luck next week Ramiele if she makes it through this week’s elimination. I do feel that with her Filipino background that she does have a lot of support around her if she does bad or not. Filipino’s would support a jalapeño on a stick if it came from the Philippines.

Jason Castro sang Sting’s “Fragile” like a star! He is a star, all he has to do is finish this upcoming AI tour and let loose. Simon says that he played the guitar sloppy and had potential to be a winner but not with performances like the one he put on tonight.

Syesha belted “If I Was Your Woman” like she had been doing it for years. She does not look like she is 20. All these contestants are such younglings. Randy said it was her best performance of the whole competition so far and Simon said that the end of the performance wasn’t as good as Randy said it was.

Chickezie sounded marvelous singing “If Only for One Night” Randy said he didn’t give the song a fresh feeling like Syesha did with her last song. Paula disagreed with Randy. Simon said it was cheesy and he had to show originality and he missed his personality. I personally loved the way he worked the crowd in the performance. That’s how to get your audience’s attention, what girl doesn’t want to be sung to?

All-American girl Brooke White sang “Every Step You Take” on the piano while the audience waved their hand back and forth out of sync. The band eventually joined in the song towards the end. She messed up the song right off the bat with the first two words and had to start over again. Randy said the song would have been better if the band didn’t join in towards the end but surprisingly enough, loved the fact that she messed up the first two words of the song and decided to start over again. It showed him professionalism.

Paula brought up a whole other debate about how she loves that the contestant’s get to bring a whole other element into the competition with some playing instruments. It’s just too bad that two (Brooke and David) out of the 3 contestants that have played instruments on the show have made records and had record deals in the past. I’m sure if we dug a little further, Jason Castro probably had a record made in someone’s basement, or at least smoked a joint there.

Michael John’s…makes my taco crunch. Guapo Ese! Randy said that was his best performance on the competition. Simon says with this performance this was the first time he saw star potential in him.

Carly Smithson sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart” perfectly. It was so record-worthy. Most of the judges didn’t like it. Simon told her to lighten up a bit.

David Archuleta’s childhood video’s made me want to squeeze his cute little head off even more. I wasn’t familiar with the song he sang, but I still liked it. Randy said that “If you can sing, you can sing whatever” Paula said “you could sing the phone book” and we would still love it. Simon said it was “reminiscent of a theme park performance” complete with little magical creatures flittering about. Eh?

Kristy Lee Cook sang “God Bless the USA” and finally she puts on a good quality performance.

David Cook had a big head…when he was a baby that is. But he put the most unique, tasteful, amazing performance of “Billie Jean” No one else could of done what he did in that performance. The take on that song could have been a complete mess, but it was just completely, completely mind blowing and amazing.

Jorge’s Pick’s of the Night

Best Performance: David Cook

Worst Performance: Ramiele Malubay

American Idol Reviews: Top 11 Beatles Night

Amanda Overmyer was OK and boring. Thank God for hair stylists and costume specialists, because she would still look scary.

Kristy Lee Cook sang “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” and it seemed like a beautiful song if she didn’t mess it all up, the last note was good, but that’s about it. It’s too bad because she is completly georgeous. It didn’t seem like she was connecting with the song, almost like she didn’t want to sing it. Paula comments she looks georgeous as well, but what does that have to do with her performance and singing.

If I didn’t love David Archuleta as much as my puppy, I wouldn’t comment so much on how much of a dorky goober he is. He sang “The Long Winding Road” and my heart was beating out of my chest because I was hoping he wouldn’t forget his lyrics again this time. I like him either way, he’s got the raspy voice that just get’s me. I love David!

Paula still annoy’s me when she tries to give her opinion on the contestants. She stumbles and staggers over her words and it just seems like she is trying to pull “smart words: out of her butt to make it dramatic, and she comes out looking drunk.

“A Day In The Life” was sang by Michael Johns. I liked it, I wouldn’t of minded seeing him sing something else. He kind of reminds me of a John Mayer type singer, he’s got that smooth voice. Not to mention, he’s very, very nice to look at. Get naked! (Oh crap, I’m typing out loud again!)

Again Paula, you either say “I liked it” or “I didn’t like it” How hard is that? She claimed that Michael John’s performance was not up to par due to the fact that he was still getting used to the ear monitors. Too bad Michael was actually not wearing one. Good call Paula! There’s just proof there that Paula pulls her compliments out of her butt. Sounds like she reached up in there and didn’t find anything.

Brooke White came out singing “Here Comes The Sun” and it was good, but boring, if that’s possible. Either way she has great personality and she should be back next week, if she cuts down on the talking.

Next to perform is my future husband, David Cook with his hot guitar singing “Day Tripper” and since he is my future husband, I’m going to be partial and say he was awesome. Love you baby! I’m going to go wipe the drool off my lip now since it’s a commericial break now.

Carly Smithson sang “Blackbird” and it was awesome. I’m claiming her as my favorite female performer on the show. I don’t think Simon liked what she had to say back about him not liking the song but someone needed to stick it to Simon on that comment.

David Castro sang “Michelle” He’s so nerdy looking, and with those dreads, he looks like a nerdy islander. His voice sounds good, but it’s so pop-ish that he could be the long lost fourth Jonas Brother.

“Yesterday” was sang by Syesha Mercado. This was my favorite performance of the night!

“I’ve Just Seen a Face” was sang beautifully by Chickezie. He’s got a great R&B voice. Then he played the harmonica and the pace of the song changed and I didn’t really like it after that with the exception of a few notes.

Ramiele is so small and cute, she sang “I Should of Known Better” She had such attitude when she was singing this song, nodding her head around and such. It was nice, a lot better than last week, but there were still better contestants than her earlier in the show. She’s like a mini Tila Tequila, but with a better voice.

Brooke Hogan Knows Best

Brooke Hogan is getting her own TV show as a spinoff to Hogan Knows Best. The show was planning on coming back for another season, but Nick Hogan was in a serious car crash that sent his friend to the hospital, her mother filed for divorce, and her father started dating one of her friends. Isn’t that a horrible mental picture? Looks like she’s the only normal one left in the family. Who knew? I always pawned her off as another Jessica Simpson-esqe personality.

Her busy plans include a new album “Undiscovered” that is currently out, she will be on the new reality show “America’s Prom Queen”

Two and a Half Men

I love this show so much. I was referred by one of my friends at work to watch this show for many months. And with my current time restraints, I never got around to it.

I just recently I stumbled upon it because there was nothing else on TV and I ended up watching one episode, and another, and another.  I loved it and I was absolutely hooked. It’s one of those shows that seriously makes me laugh at loud. And for a person like me, which usually holds things like that in, it’s a Godsend.

American Idol Elimination Recap

This post contains the spoiler. Do not read on if you have not watched the show yet.

I just absolutly dread elimiation night. Not because my favorite people could possibly be eliminated, but because of those stupid, cheesy song and dance numbers they make some of these poor people do. You’ve got great rock singers like David Cook and Carly Smithson dancing like little ballerina’s for no reason. American Idol is a singing competition! Those people shouldn’t be dancing.

Altough David Hernandez does dance like a Backstreet Boy, maybe they can just make David Dance around in a tutu since he’s suposedly got the dancing thing down.

If there was any God where was he when they made Kristy Leigh Cook perform that horrendous number again. I’m going to need a blood transfusion after all the blood I’ve lost from my ears.

I really liked the phone calls taken from the fans. Ryan admitted he wants to mud wrestle with Simon, tell us something we don’t know.

Why out of all American Idol past contestants, did they get Katherine McPhee to perform? She hasn’t done anything since the show except have one good single, marry an old guy and put on a boring performance on American Idol wearing a go-go outfit. Why don’t we just bring Justin Guarini in for the next performance. He’d probably look better in the dress.

So the bottom three ended up being Syesa, David Hernandez and Kristy Leigh Cook. Just when I was going to be excited that Kristy was going home they sent home…

David Hernandez.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What the hell is that?????

Someone quick…tell him they need a 5th memeber for NSync to do a reunion! I’d go see that!

American Idol One Liner Reviews: Top 12 Lennon/McCarthy Night

It was Lennon/McCarthy Song night with the Top 12 Performing for the first time on the new stage setup and look. It’s about time.

Syesha opened up the show with “Got to Get You into My Life” I guess the stylists didn’t dress her up tonight because she looked as plain as Simon. The performance was nice, but could have been more energetic. Someone seriously needs to tell Paula she has to speak in fewer sentences.

Chickezie sang “She’s A Woman” this was pretty rocking’ fun. He did awesome! If I didn’t want to look stupid, I would have gotten up and danced along. Ryan is drunk at this point in the show and he’s jumping around stage and touching Chickezie’s hair and probably loving it since Danny is gone.

Cute, little Ramiele sang “In My Life” For some reason she seems to have one of those voices that end up on voice over for Disney movies.  It was ok, a little boring, but OK. She could have chosen a song that showed off more of her voice power.

Jason Castro sang “If I Fell” with his guitar. I’d love to attack his with some scissors. He sounds pro when he sings anything, period. I hope he sticks around next week. “Student in a bedroom at midnight…” where in the hell did Simon pull that out of? He’s probably imagining Ryan in a bedroom at midnight.

Carly Smithson sang “Come Together” The song wasn’t real familiar to me but I loved it and she rocked it out. She knows what she’s doing, she knows she’s good and she works it for every minute its worth.

David Cook (My personal favorite!) He can serve me a drink anytime! He sang “Eleanor Rigby” He reminds me of Jason Wade from Lifehouse. He’s so record worthy already, I can’t kiss this guy’s butt any more than I am now! I love love love this guy, he makes me drool/giggle/squeal like a little high school girl.

Brooke White sang “Let It Be” she’s cheesy, but absolutely beautiful. Am I the only one that her voice was a little crackly during points of the song? I think she was almost ready to cry in the middle of the song. That upper lip kept snarling up throughout the entire performance and it was kind of distracting but it was good.

David Hernandez sang “Standing There” He’s so pretty! He’s too pretty to look at. There’s just something about him that just doesn’t entertain me as much as the other contestants.

Amanda Overmyer would look like a complete knockout if her hair didn’t look like a striped skunk. Besides the fact, she sang “You Can’t Do That” I stopped paying attention to the performance two seconds into it so I don’t have anything else to say.

Michael John’s performance was absolutely Beautiful with a capital “B” I think he picked the perfect song to fit his voice.

Kristy Leigh Cook sang “8 Days a Week” in a Country style. I stopped paying attention to this one too because listening to it made me want to get drunk so I could get the thought of that performance out of my head.

David Archuleta is here to save the day! Dum! Dum! Dum! He sang “We Can Work It Out” and then I had to take back my first statement after he forgot the words to the song within two seconds of it. My heart literally sank into my chest. Hopefully he can bounce back next week.

Worst: Kristy Leigh Cook

The David’s of American Idol

After listening to a recap of last week’s American Idol show, I do regret not watching it now. One of my favorite contestants, David Cook supposedly put on a great performance with a Lionel Richie song. I listened to a snippet of the performance and just listening to it made me go “Hummina Hummina Hummina” I was drooling all over my steering wheel.

I promised not to get too engrossed into the show this year because last year was so boring, and secondly I promised not to make any iTunes purchases from American Idol performances because I will probably not even open them after the show is done, but I might have to break down and buy this performance and the David Archuleta performance from two weeks ago.

All I’ve really got to do is prepare for when David Cook goes on his own tour after the show just like Chris Daughtry did after the Idol Tour was concluded. This guy is the next Chris Daughtry of the season no doubt and I will be one of those groupies sitting outside of the venue the night he headlines his own show.

Paranormal State

Paranormal State

On Monday nights I find myself getting hooked on watching “Paranormal State” on A&E. The channel shows new episodes every Monday night and then a few re-runs afterwards. I end up watching every waking, addicting moment.

The show focuses on a group of college students from Penn State (and the leader of the group is real easy on the eyes, maybe it’s the nerdy thing?) that are interested in ghosts and the paranormal. They formed the group to help people find out if their house was haunted and do some research to find out who or what the spirit once was, then hopefully set them free and let them rest in peace.

This shoe is a lot creepier than “Most Haunted” or any of those other shows that are about ghost hunters. Those shows are mostly people saying “I felt a hand grab me” yeah, well I’m at work and I sometimes feel a pull at my hair, claims like that just don’t mean anything on TV.

On Paranormal State, these people investigate the haunting and dig into history to make a connection. One episode had a couple that had just got married and the husband was being haunted by a woman, this “woman spirit” was making his wife sick. The team researched into enough information to find out that the husband had found an urn around the time that they got married and put it away in his barn until someone claimed it. The team took the urn and had a professional look over the remains, which coincidentally enough were that of a woman because they found women’s jewelry within the ashes in the urn. Everyone gets together to give the urn a proper burial ceremony and the haunting stop happening.
