High Price For Fashion

I don’t understand fashion sometimes. Like these Oscar de la Renta dresses for almost $3,000!!!

Who would care enough to wear a $3,000 dress to work…or out for that matter. I go to Wal-Mart and can barely afford the $3.99 t-shirts along with my groceries. Paris Hilton would die trying to live the life of us Wal-Mart shoppers for a day.

Glass Sinks

I was thinking about getting a glass sink like these for when I move out:

They are very beautiful. The only thing I worry about with having these kind of sinks is having the boyfriend’s 6-year old daughter around. Things always seem to get broken when children are around, so we will see. They look very space friendly so I could even get two of them and have his and her sinks for the hubby and me.

Momma Would Be So Proud!

Mothers Day is fast approaching and I’m actually stressing about it as early as it still is. I have no idea what to get my mom personally. She’s so picky and unpredictable. She used to go to the store and exchange things that people got for her and got what she really wanted. I can’t dislike the woman for it, she definitely knows what she wants. It’s a mom thing!

I bought her flowers for Valentine’s Day a few years back and she seemed to like them a lot, so I might do that again for Mother’s Day as a surprise at work or something. I was shopping online at 1-800-Flowers and found a few very beautiful selections:

Flowers Flowers

Chocolates seem more practical than flowers, seeing that chocolate lasts longer, unless you eat it all in one day, that’s another problem. I got a few coupon codes to consider as well:

Mar26 - Save $10 no minimum
Mar15 - Save $15 w/min $74.99 purchase
Mar25 - Save $25 w/min $99.99 purchase

I’m extremely indecisive, so I’m glad I randomly started thinking about it now so I have time to make up my mind.

Sk8er Boys & Girls

I checked out Sector 9 Skateboards today. I could imagine my boyfriend looking at this site and going crazy buying things. He used to skateboard all the time when he was a teenager before he met me. The last time I actually saw him attempt to skateboard he rolled over a crack in the pavement and fell on his butt. It was pretty funny!

You can shop for your own skateboard parts and build your own skateboards. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked through the girly designs and I found a few pinks and other designs that caught my eye. Of course you can always buy the skateboards whole, but I think it would be fun to make your own and the site is very user friendly with a unique design so it wouldn’t be hard to surf through at all. Surfing through the site kind of makes me want to belt out of verse of “Skater Boy” by Avril Lavigne.

Manic Monday

How did you celebrate your last birthday?
My parents took me to Applebee’s with my boyfriend and cousin and I had a very big, fatty, chocolate dessert that was sooooo good but I felt guilty about it later. I don’t regret it either way! Plus I got to spend time with my family, which is a rare occasion.

What’s the last thing you bought yourself, just for fun?
Three pairs of toe socks on ebay. I’m starting up my collection again! Wearing them freaks Nick out, I love that fact so I wear them all the time.

What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?
They would be disapointed that I havn’t finished college yet. But I would think I was soooooo cool. (Ok, not really!)

“Pink…it’s my new obsession”

When I go shopping for clothes or fashion handbags, pink is always the color I look for first. I’m not sure how I started to claim that as my favorite color. I guess it’s mainly because I always feel the need to express my girly, high maintenance side. Then when I sneak peeks at my mom’s celebrity magazines and Paris Hilton is always wearing something pink as well.

I surfed onto the Bolanzo Handbags site and looked at what they had and found this very, extremely cute pink handbag that I am so tempted to buy:

Bolanzo Handbags

They have very luxurious handbags and accessories in so many different styles, colors, and fashions; they look just like the style of purses celebrities would carry around. I’m pretty sure you’d find something you’d like as well. Their handbags are known mainly in the international market, but they became so popular that we are lucky enough to be having them branch out into the U.S. market. Get ready to look like a total celebrity with these handbags.

The Sock Monster Made Me Do This…

Socks

It’s so cold down here in our room and I’ve misplaced all my socks. I look like a little half naked snow girl bundled up in an oversized hooded sweatshirt that used to belong to my boyfriend, shorts and bare feet.

My winter wardrobe seems to not fit since last season so I’ve been scraping around for a wardrobe to wear to work everyday. My main qualm has been trying to find matching socks in the house that is, when I do find the one’s that have seemed to have survived the sock monster in the dryer. *confused* The other day I was in a rush and actually walked out of the house with mismatched socks. I don’t think the boyfriend noticed, but I felt like a major bum.

I had originally started searching on auction sites to find some cute, trendy winter socks, and then I started shopping on Hue. I had been considering adding their leggings to my wardrobe; I have never tried to wear leggings before but they do look like a fashionable, and most importantly, warm faze I could get accustomed to.

So I’m making a mental wish list for when I can afford to buy some…uuuumm, let’s see…I want the dark blue polar bear socks, the black cotton leggings (to wear under my jeans on the really, really cold days at work,) the fishnet knee high socks, (ok so these won’t really keep my warm, but they are very, very cute!) Time to go shopping again! Goodbye income tax return!

Reaching My Zen.

There are so many things I would like to purchase with this newly acquired tax refund. I just feel like I want to go on a buck wild shopping spree because there is so many things I need and have put off buying because of bills coming first. Now that I’m going to the gym on a regular basis I need a whole new wardrobe of workout clothes, yoga clothes, and a few new pairs of comfortable tennis shoes.

I have not been able to attend any yoga or Pilates classes at the gym yet, but it’s is definitely something I hope to try out this year. I stare at the class schedule taped to the door every time I’m at the gym to see if there’s one that fits good around my work schedule. I’m officially adding it to my goals list though. Hopefully soon they will have an evening Yoga class so I can go after work. My old roommate used to do yoga all the time and it looked very relaxing. I’ve always been thinking about how much I’ve wanted to try it, but have been too busy up until recently when I got this gym membership.

I started shopping on Yoga-Clothing.com tonight to get a feel as to what I might want to buy to get my Yoga workout career started. These clothes look so comfortable, I might even wear them as my “relax clothes” around the house. They look like they would fit snugly against me, at the same time I will be comfortable when I was doing some serious cardio on the elliptical at the gym. I especially love the bottoms; they just look so comfortable and stylish, my top two qualities I look at in clothes when I do some serious “girls day out” shopping. I feel like a 16-year old again window (internet) shopping for things like this.

New Style, New Beginnings

Feb. 14th

For those of you that have not talked to me in a while, I am still diligently going to the gym to workout. I haven’t seen a drastic change yet, and I don’t really expect too. My personal trainer actually told me to not even bother stepping on a scale for 6 months, although like my diet, I have cheated on that a few times and sneaked a peek at the scale.

One thing that I definitely cannot wait to do is change up my wardrobe and get flattering, gorgeous clothes again. I especially want some of those Baby Phat Jeans. (Since this blog is not audio inclined….I am screaming like a teenage schoolgirl right now over how cute these jeans really are! *jumpspin*) I have to keep to my New Year’s Resolutions though and make sure that I do not go on any major shopping sprees.

While I am on a fashion faze, I got my hair cut yesterday evening. So if anyone wants to buy me those cute jeans to match my cute new haircut, you are more than welcome too! *giggle*
